Foreign Affairs Digest

LINDSTROM CITY -- Mr. Eucalyptos, Minister of State, has had a busy few weeks, traveling here and there, corresponding with ambassadors and heads of state.  Here is a succinct review of the Empire's current foreign affairs:

Talenore; The treaty with Talenore was ratified thanks to work done by Joshua Saint Endellion, Minister of the Nation and Ambassador to Talenore. The proximity of Talenore to the Skerry Isles makes this a welcome step forward in what this reporter sees as Natopia's new emphasis on making ties with neighbors and focusing on building friendships in areas where the empire has a presence.

Vyktory: President Knight visited Natopia and extended recognition to the empire.  Minister Eucalyptos happily extended de facto recognition to Vyktory and has begun the process of pursuing more formal relations.

Reindeer Herders: Chief Atka and Legate Ikaros successfully negotiated a treaty between Natopia and the Reindeer Herders.  Due to the remoteness of Natopia's colony Elijah's Rest and the Reindeer peninsula the treaty includes several terms that include a commitment to provide assistance in catastrophe, environmental preservation, and clearing ice from essential routes and fishing areas.  The Reindeer Herders have already ratified the treaty and it awaits formal ratification from the Frenzy following positive remarks.

Saint Andre: The former Natopian colony of St. Andre has asserted itself as an independent nation.  Although the port city was traded away by Natopia, the empire is positioning itself to seek closer ties to the new nation by appointing an ambassador.  The prospects of St. Andre seem to be going up as even the Dozan Bovic Church recognized the growing importance of that city by appointing a bosarch to lead the small group of Bovis in St. Andre for the first time in that city's history.
